The latest installment for the Mario & Luigi series is here for the first time on the 3DS!

Dream Team features gameplay similar to previous Mario & Luigi games in which the player controls both Mario and Luigi, who explore the game overworld together and fight in turn-based battles.

At certain points of the story, Luigi falls asleep and opens a portal leading into his dreams, a realm that acts as a major setting for the game. Mario can enter and explore the dream world, during which the action is viewed from a side-scrolling perspective on the 3DS screen while the touchscreen shows Luigi’s sleeping face. The player can tease Luigi by touching parts of his face, which causes events to occur in the dream world, such as the manipulation of platforms. While the player controls only Mario inside the dream world, multiple dream doppelgängers of Luigi can aid Mario in battle.

Mario & Luigi: Dream Team releases on August 11 exclusively for the 3DS.
